Vilamoura Apartments

As you would expect from such a popular holiday resort there is a wide choice of apartments available for holiday rental throughout the year in Vilamoura.

Really the choices you have to make are fairly straightforward:

Do you want to be on the marina?
Would you like to be in the old town?
Would you prefer to be on any of the five golf courses that in the Vilamoura area?
What facilities are close at hand for the kids?

As a rule the marina apartments or the ones very very close to the marina tend to be the most expensive. The great thing about staying on the marina is that all the pubs, bars and clubs are within walking (staggering) distance and if you are only here for a short while or you really do not fancy driving then there is no real need to hire a car.

Most of the apartments form part of modern complexes that have well kept communal gardens and most of the time there will be a communal pool for the residents and holiday makers to use. Please be sure to check what times of the year the pool is heated and if you have young children is the pool suitable or are there any restrictions of use. You will rarely find an outdoor pool heated in the Vilamoura area but it is safe to assume that the weather would be good enough to use the pool from May to the end of September.

Vilamoura old town and Vilamoura marina are about a 15 minute walk away from each other, so there’s not that far to walk between the two.

One of the great things about Villamoura is that it gets visitors throughout the year. In part this is thanks to the golfers who flock here over the cooler winter months to play on all or some of the five golf courses that are in and around Vilamoura. There are plenty of apartments available on or next to any of the golf clubs so if you are coming here solely to play golf it makes sense to stay near a course.
